President of the Republic visits the United States, Washington D.C.

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen, accompanied by Committee Counsellor Pentti Arajärvi, will be in Washington from 25 to 29 April 2000. She will be meeting President Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and participating at the opening of the exhibition "Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga".
