Governor General of New Zealand to make official visit to Finland

Governor General of New Zealand Anand Satyanand and spouse will make an official visit to Finland on 2–5 May 2011. The reception ceremony and official talks with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen will take place at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 3 May.

Governor General Satyanand will also meet the Speaker of the Parliament and Parliamentary Ombudsman. He will also familiarise himself with Supreme Court and visit cultural attractions in Helsinki.

President Halonen made a state visit to New Zealand in February 2007.
