President of the Dominican Republic to make working trip to Finland

President Hipólito Mejía Domínguez of the Dominican Republic is visiting Finland on 13-15 May 2003 at the invitation of President Tarja Halonen. The reception ceremonies and the official talks between the two presidents will take place at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday 14 May.

President Mejía Domínguez will also meet foreign minister Erkki Tuomioja and Speaker of the Eduskunta Paavo Lipponen during the visit. In addition, his itinerary includes visits to development cooperation organisations and companies.

The party accompanying President Mejía Domínguez includes the Dominican Republic’s foreign minister Francisco Guerrero Prats, agriculture minister Eligio Jácquez as well as social affairs and health minister José Rodríguez Soldevila.
