King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden were on a state visit to Finland on 26-28 August 2003. Crown Princess Victoria was accompanying them.
The guests arrived on board the minelayer Visborg at the South Harbour in Helsinki on Tuesday 26 August, after which the official reception ceremonies took place at the Presidential Palace.
The programme for the Royal Couple’s first day in Finland included visits to the Eduskunta and the Helsinki City Hall. There was a banquet at the Presidential Palace in the evening.
The Royal Couple and the Crown Princess visited Hamina and Porvoo on Wednesday 27 August and Jyväskylä on Thursday 28 August.
