President Halonen and Doctor Arajärvi to visit Archangel

President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Doctor Pentti Arajärvi will visit Archangel in north-west Russia on 27-29 June 2003.

The President’s programme includes a meeting with Archangel Oblast Governor Anatoli Yefremov and visits to local attractions including the Art Museum of Northern Russia. Doctor Arajärvi will take part in the 20th Gandvik Peace Marathon in Archangel.

On the final day of the visit, 29 June, the presidential couple will visit the Solovetsk Islands and the monastery there.
