Traditional dinner for the diplomatic corps held at the Presidential Palace

President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö hosted the traditional dinner for heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Finland and their spouses at the Presidential Palace on Thursday 26 April 2018.

The dinner was attended by approximately 180 guests. In addition to the diplomatic corps, the guest list included members of Finland’s government along with top-ranking public officials.

President Niinistö opened the dinner with a welcome speech, which was answered by the Dean of the diplomatic corps, Mr Alvarado Noguera, Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua.

Musical entertainment was provided by the Guard’s Band conducted by Major Pasi-Heikki Mikkola.

White asparagus cocktail, tomato sabayon with basil.

Chicken & champignon broth, brioche with apple marmalade.

Warm terrine of lavaret and Arctic char with chargrilled lavaret fillet and blue mussel beurre blanc.

Striped forest berry parfait garnished with Kultaranta berries.
