Section 28 of the Act on Information Management in Public Administration (906/2019) requires information management entities to maintain a description of how document publicity is implemented. The description allows citizens to better specify their requests for information, as required under section 13 of the Act on Openness of Government Activities (621/1999).

The document publicity description gives an overview of how data are stored in the case register of the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland and how they are processed.

The case register is the VAHVA case management system, which stores documents relating to both the President of the Republic and the President’s Office. The system contains both public and confidential material.
