President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will visit Åland Islands on 27 August 2018.
President Niinistö will attend the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) in Mariehamn and give its opening speech.
BSPC was established in 1991 as a forum for political dialogue between parliamentarians from the Baltic Sea Region. At present, the presidency of BSPC is with Åland Islands.
President Niinistö will also meet representatives of the province to discuss topical matters of the Åland Islands.
