President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö had a long phone call with Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Friday 4 September 2020. The Presidents talked about their deep and mutual concerns, regarding both the future of Europe after the corona pandemic as well as the current situation in Belarus. “We had a particularly thorough discussion on the Alexei Navalny case and its implications”, President Niinistö states.
