Book of condolence for President Ahtisaari opens at the Presidential Palace

The book of condolence for President Ahtisaari opened at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday 17 October 2023 at 10 .00. Members of the public and organisations can present their condolences in the book until Friday 20 October.

The first to sign the book of condolence were President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö and his spouse Jenni Haukio.

The book of condolence is open to the public in the lobby of the Presidential Palace on Mariankatu as follows: Tuesday 10–15, Wednesday 10–15, Thursday 10–18, and Friday 10-15. The address is Mariankatu 2 (glass doors).

Condolences addressed to the family members can also be submitted online at www.presidentti.fi/surukirja.

The condolences will later be compiled and printed into a book, which will be given to President Ahtisaaris’s family together with the book of condolence from the Presidential Palace.
