General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Tô Lâm, accompanied by his spouse Ngô Phương Ly, will pay an official visit to Finland from 21 to 22 October 2025. The visit will be hosted by President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
The President and the General Secretary will meet on Tuesday 21 October at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, where the discussions will focus mainly on bilateral relations between Finland and Vietnam, Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine and current regional and global matters.
During his visit, the General Secretary will also meet with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and First Deputy Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Paula Risikko. In addition, he will attend a business seminar and visit Aalto University and Nokia headquarters in Espoo.
The General Secretary’s delegation will include several Vietnamese ministers.
