The public will have an opportunity to visit Mäntyniemi, the official residence of the President of the Republic of Finland, on Friday 18 September 2026 from 12.00 to 16.00. The tour is open to all visitors who arrive at the gates of Mäntyniemi by 16.00.

The route begins at the Mäntyniemi gates and continues through the front yard to the main entrance. Inside the residence, visitors will be able to explore the President’s reception rooms. From the main hall, the route continues to Mäntyniemi’s small and large salons and then on to the dining room. The visit concludes with a tour of the Mäntyniemi garden.

Instructions for visitors

Mäntyniemi is located in the Meilahti district of Helsinki at Mäntyniementie 4, Helsinki. The gates of Mäntyniemi will open to the public on Friday 18 September at 12.00. Visitors arriving at the gates by 16.00 will be admitted to the tour. After that time, it will no longer be possible to join the queue.

Advance registration is not available.

The visit is self-guided, but members of the staff of the Office of the President will be present along the route to answer questions. Artists will be present to discuss their works on display in the reception rooms.

We recommend arriving on foot, by bicycle or by public transport, as parking at Mäntyniemi is extremely limited.

Large items, bags and backpacks may not be taken inside the residence and must be left in the cloakroom. Prams and strollers must also be left outside. The tour is accessible, although the garden section may be somewhat challenging for wheelchair users. Photography during the tour is permitted for personal use only.
