On Wednesday 12 March 2025, President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor-elect Friedrich Merz.
President Stubb congratulated Merz on his election victory. The President and the Chancellor-elect discussed support for Ukraine and bilateral relations between the two countries.
