President Stubb in Davos: We are witnessing the emergence of a new world order

This year, the forum was held under the theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue’, highlighting the importance of dialogue in an increasingly complex world.

President Stubb took part in several high-level panels during the event. In a panel on Europe’s security situation, the conversation focused on the ongoing transformation in global politics.

“We are witnessing the emergence of a new world order. This has significant implications for Europe’s security landscape”, President Stubb said.

President Stubb’s programme also included bilateral meetings with other heads of state. He met with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia, President Isaac Herzog of Israel, and President Guy Parmelin of Switzerland. In addition, the President’s programme featured meetings with business leaders.

“Davos is an important forum that brings together policymakers and the business community. It is essential that, in the current global situation, companies take part in finding solutions to our shared challenges,” the President said.

On the last day of the Forum, President Stubb participated in a panel on the future of Ukraine

“The war has already proven to be a strategic mistake and a defeat for Russia. We will continue to support Ukraine and further strengthen its position in the peace negotiations,” President Stubb concluded.
