President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at Kultaranta in Naantali on Tuesday 27 May 2025.
The President and the Chancellor discussed, among other things, security in Europe, achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. They also discussed closer cooperation between Finland and Germany.
Chancellor Merz was in Turku to attend the informal summer meeting of the Nordic prime ministers.
