President Stubb meets with parliamentary party chairs

The President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with the chairs and vice chairs of the parties represented in the Finnish Parliament on Tuesday 8 September 2026. The meeting took place at the President’s residence in Mäntyniemi.

Discussions at the meeting focused on the situation in Ukraine and other current foreign and security policy issues.

The meeting was attended by party chairs Petteri Orpo (National Coalition Party), Riikka Purra (Finns Party), Antti Lindtman (Finnish Social Democratic Party), Antti Kaikkonen (Centre Party of Finland), Sofia Virta (Greens), Minja Koskela (Left Alliance), Anders Adlercreutz (Swedish People’s Party of Finland) and Harry Harkimo (Movement Now). The Christian Democrats were represented by vice chair Peter Östman.

President Stubb previously met with the party leaders in March 2026.
