On Thursday 29 January 2026, President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with representatives of the Sámi Parliament at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki.
The topics discussed included the implementation of the revised Act on the Sámi Parliament, the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Concerning the Sámi people, and the impact of climate change on the Arctic region and the living environment of the Sámi people.
President Stubb last met representatives of the Sámi Parliament in January 2025.
