President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb had telephone conversations with President of the United States Donald Trump and with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday 11 May 2025.
President Stubb discussed with Presidents Trump and Zelenskyy the proposal for a ceasefire and the possibility of peace negotiations.
President Stubb expressed support for the proposal for an immediate unconditional 30-day ceasefire and stressed the importance of sanctions in putting pressure on Russia.
