President Stubb to attend International Space Summit in Paris

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will attend the International Space Summit in Paris on Thursday 10 September 2026. 

The summit, which is being held in this format for the first time, aims to promote international dialogue and cooperation in the space sector.

The main themes of the summit are space security, the space economy, sustainable space governance, and the promotion of scientific research and skills development. President Stubb will deliver Finland’s national statement at the summit.

The event will bring together 120 foreign delegations, at the invitation of President of France Emmanuel Macron. Participants will also include representatives of international and regional organizations, members of parliament, scientists, astronauts and decision-makers from the private sector, civil society, local communities and development banks. The summit will be co-chaired by France and Germany.
