President Stubb to attend World Economic Forum in Davos

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, on 19–23 January 2026.

This year, the forum focuses particularly on the importance of dialogue in a changing and complex world, as well as on economic transformation, digitalisation, and resilience.

During the meeting, President Stubb will take part in several discussions and hold bilateral meetings with heads of state and government as well as other participants. The President will participate in a high-level panel on European security and defence and deliver speeches at a session on the future of Ukraine, a business event organized by the Chamber of Commerce Finland-Switzerland, and the opening dinner for the heads of state and government.

In addition to the President, Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will attend the Annual Meeting in Davos.

Davos 2026 will bring together nearly 3,000 participants from close to 130 countries. Among them are around 60 heads of state and government, as well as other political decision-makers, business leaders, academics, representatives of organisations, and influential figures in economics and culture.
