President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on 28–29 October 2025.
The visit will begin on Tuesday 28 October with a meeting with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana. Discussions between the two Presidents will focus on the bilateral relations between Finland and Kazakhstan, geopolitics and its regional implications for Europe and Central Asia, Russia’s illegal war of aggression in Ukraine and cooperation in support of the multilateral system.
The President’s programme will also feature meetings with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and the Chairperson of the Senate of the parliament of Kazakhstan.
During his visit, President Stubb will also attend a business seminar, give a lecture at the Maqsut Narikbayev University and meet foreign policy experts.
President Stubb’s delegation will include Member of Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Kazakhstan Ville Skinnari. In addition, representatives of Finnish trade and industry will travel with the President.
The previous President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, last made a working visit to Kazakhstan in 2017.
