President Stubb to visit voluntary national defence training exercise in Hälvälä

On Saturday 15 November 2025, President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb will visit MARRAS-HÄLVÄ 25, a voluntary national defence training exercise organised by the National Defence Training Association of Finland. The training will take place in Hälvälä, Hollola.

The programme will begin with an overview of voluntary defence training in Finland, followed by a general presentation of the MARRAS-HÄLVÄ 25 exercise.

During the visit, the presidential couple will also have the opportunity to see how the exercises are carried out in practice during a basic course for combat lifesavers and a physical fitness training course. 

The National Defence Training Association of Finland (MPK) is a nationwide organisation that provides training in military skills for Defence Forces reservists and in safety and security skills for all citizens, enhancing preparedness to respond to disruptive situations both in normal conditions and during exceptional circumstances.
