President Stubb visits South Ostrobothnia

The President of the Republic Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb will visit Kurikka and Seinäjoki in South Ostrobothnia on Thursday 23 October 2025.

The programme of the day will start from Kurikka, where the presidential couple will make a tour of the Juustoportti dairy. Juustoportti is a Finnish family business whose story dates back to 1966.

The visit will continue at the farm of Ala-Marttila, where the presidential couple will be given a tour of the dairy cattle cowhouse and the farm’s biogas plant. The programme will also include a visit to Tuiskula primary school, where the presidential couple will meet pupils and school staff and watch performances by the school’s pupils.

In the afternoon, the presidential couple will move on to Seinäjoki. At Seinäjoki Joint Municipal Authority for Education Sedu, the presidential couple will get acquainted with the teaching of mechanical engineering and production technology and meet students in vocational education and training. In addition, during the visit, the President’s spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb and Sedu students who have moved from Ukraine to Finland will meet for an afternoon coffee. Sedu is a regional actor providing a wide range of vocational education and training programmes for young people and adults.

At Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences SEAMK, the presidential couple will learn about food technology and visit the food laboratory. SEAMK is an important education provider in the region of South Ostrobothnia. It has about 6,000 students.

At the end of the visit, the President will meet residents of South Ostrobothnia at a public event in Seinäjoki Areena starting at 15.30.
