President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney on Friday 16 May 2025.
The President and the Prime Minister discussed strengthening economic and security cooperation between Finland and Canada.
The president emphasized Canada’s position as a key Ally, united by the Arctic.
According to President Stubb, Finland and Canada will continue steadfast support to Ukraine and work towards increasing pressure on Russia to achieve an unconditional, full ceasefire.
