President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda paid a working visit to Finland on Tuesday 2 September 2025. President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb welcomed President Nausėda and his spouse Diana Nausėdienė at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki.
President Stubb and President Nausėda discussed bilateral relations between Lithuania and Finland, as well as Russia’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, and support for Ukraine. Following their discussions, the presidents held a joint press conference.
During his visit, President Nausėda also met with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and took part in the Lithuania–Finland Defence Industry and Science Forum in Helsinki.
On Monday 1 September, President Stubb and President Nausėda attended the European Basketball Championship game between the Lithuanian and Finnish national teams in Tampere.
