Theme of the Kultaranta Talks 2026: A World in Transition – Global, Regional and Local Perspectives

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will host the Kultaranta Talks on 11–12 June 2026 at Kultaranta in Naantali. This year, the theme of the foreign and security policy event is A World in Transition – Global, Regional and Local Perspectives.

On Thursday 11 June, the discussions will focus on geopolitical and local developments and the ways in which they are intertwined both between and within regions, including Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States. The event will be opened by President Stubb. The programme features five panel discussions in which political leaders and experts from around the world examine the current global landscape.

On Friday 12 June, the discussions will examine interactions from Finland’s perspective in three expert panels addressing Europe, Russia, and global geoeconomic and technological competition. The event will conclude on Friday afternoon with closing remarks by President Stubb.

The Kultaranta Talks will bring together around 140 invited experts and professionals from various sectors of society. Participants include international and national political decision‑makers, researchers, public administrators, trade and industry representatives, civil society actors and members of the media. The event will take place at Kultaranta, the summer residence of the President of the Republic, where the renovation of the park and main building was completed in October 2024.
