President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb will attend the National War Veterans’ Day commemorations in Mikkeli on Monday 27 April 2026. The presidential couple will meet veterans and lottas at the main event of the annual National Veterans’ Day in the Mikaeli Concert and Congress Hall.
National Veterans’ Day is a day of remembrance dedicated to Finland’s war veterans and the legacy of the wartime generations. It has been observed in Finland since 1987.
Yle TV1 will broadcast the main event of the National Veterans’ Day live, and it will be available to watch on Yle Areena after the event.
