President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb visited the eastern border of the country on Monday 17 March 2025. The visit was originally scheduled for January, but was postponed.
The President visited the Nuijamaa border guard station and joined a ski patrol on its regular round near the border.
“Finnish border authorities are doing an excellent job,” the President said at the end of the visit.
Accompanying the visit was Minister of the Interior Mari Rantanen.
