MEDIA ADVISORY
President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will host the JEF Leaders’ Summit on Thursday 26 March 2026. The Summit will be held at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, Finland.
The Office of the President of the Republic of Finland is pleased to provide the following media advisory regarding theJEF 2026 Summit.

Media accreditation
All media representatives wishing to cover the JEF Leaders’ Summit need to apply for accreditation.
To register for accreditation, each media representative needs to submit an accreditation request to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
The deadline to apply is Friday 20 March 2026 at 12:00 (12 pm) Finnish time, using the following link: https://www.lyyti.in/JEF_Helsinki_26March/en.
Please note that accreditation requests will not be accepted after the deadline. Accreditations are personal and cannot be transferred to another person in the same media outlet.
Accreditation cards will be distributed at the media centre in the Helsinki City Hall on Wednesday 25 March from 14:00 to 16:30 and upon arrival at the media center on Thursday 26 March.
A detailed media programme will be sent to all accredited media representatives once the accreditation process is completed.
Media opportunities at the JEF Leaders’ Summit
There will be several media opportunities during the JEF Leaders’ Summit.
Due to space constraints, the number of photographers and camera operators at certain events will need to be limited. Kindly note that the photo opportunities are for photographers and videographers only. Pool positions will be communicated separately once the accreditation process is completed.
1. Photo opportunity during the visit on the Finnish Border Guard offshore patrol vessel
There will be a photo opportunity for Media Pool 1 during the visit. Please note that the Heads of Delegations will not be available for questions during the visit on the vessel.
2. Doorstep in the State Hall at the Presidential Palace
Heads of Delegations may speak to the media at the Presidential Palace after the arrival. The maximum time available for each Head of Delegation is three minutes.
The doorstep will be open to all accredited media.
3. Family Photo in the State Hall
The Heads of Delegations will gather for the family photo after the doorstep in the State Hall.
The family photo will be open to all accredited photographers and videographers.
4. Photo opportunity at the beginning of the Working Session Part I in the Hall of Mirrors
There will be a short photo opportunity at the beginning of the Working Session Part I for Media Pool 2.
5. Joint Press Conference
The participants of the joint press conference will be announced at a later date.
The press conference will be open to all accredited media.
6. Working dinner hosted by the President of the Republic of Finland
There will be a short photo opportunity upon arrival of guests outside the venue for Media Pool 3.
The venue for the dinner will be announced at a later date.
Live streams and photos
The Office of the President of the Republic of Finland will provide live streams of the doorstep, the opening of the Working Session Part I and the joint press conference.
Photographs of the Summit for media use can be downloaded from the Flickr account of the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland. When publishing photos, information about the publisher (photographer/ Office of the President of the Republic of Finland) must be provided. The use of photos for marketing, advertising or other commercial purposes is prohibited.
Media centre
The Department for Communications of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland will set up a media centre to provide working facilities for accredited media representatives.
The media centre is located at the Helsinki City Hall (Pohjoisesplanadi 11–13, Helsinki), close to the Presidential Palace (Pohjoisesplanadi 1, Helsinki).
There will be two meeting rooms available for interviews at the media centre. The rooms must be reserved in advance.
Kindly note that it will not be possible to arrange interviews at the Presidential Palace.
Transportation
The Department for Communications of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland will provide transportation for accredited media representatives on Thursday 26 March according to the media programme.
Wi-Fi & hashtags
There will be Wi-Fi available at the media centre at the Helsinki City Hall and at the Presidential Palace.
